I would also like to mention that all of our current pets were either strays or adopted from people that no longer wanted them. Please, have your pets spayed or neutered to prevent unwanted births, and keep your pets from wandering off.
Clicking on our pets' names below will take you to their pictures.

Name: Maxx
Maxx has been with us for about a year and a half now. My mother was his original owner, but she didn't feel that she had the time to discipline him and take care of him well. Maxx is always in need of a haircut, and is pretty pouffy most of the time. He loves to chase thrown objects (chew toys and such), but hasn't learned that his brakes don't work well on tile floors. One must also beware of stepping out of the shower wet, because he likes to lick wet legs. However, he's a great "guard dog" in a way...if anyone gets anywhere NEAR the house, he'll let you know. His enjoys pouncing on Samantha as well (he's barely bigger than her), but looks amazed when she does a fly-by on him.
Name: Samantha
Nicknames:
Mantha-panther, Demon Child (courtesy of Jon), Her Highness, Her Royal
Catness
Breed:
We have no idea.
Age: 3.5 years
What about her?
Name: SebastianSamantha was a stray kitten found by one of the customers at the bank I worked at. He found her completely by herself in an abandoned building -- no other cats anywhere near. He couldn't keep her, and wanted to know if any of us could take her. We asked to see her, so he put her in the drive-thru drawer (NOT a tube carrier!!!). It was love at first site, although I told Jon that I was only bringing her home for the weekend.. She was about 3 weeks old at the time, and had a little bit of a cold that the vet determined was harmless as long as we kept her warm and fed. Now she lives to chase invisible flying things, rule our dogs (and the whole household, for that matter), and annoy Jon, who tortures her by tickling her paws. (He rubbed her fur the wrong way once, and she responded by depositing a hairball on his shorts.) She loves to attack Maxx's tail, which curls up over his back and is kind of fringy.
Sebastian is the gentlest dog I have ever seen. He wandered into Jon's yard several years ago (before we met). At the time, he was skinny and afraid of his own shadow. We think that he was supposed to be a show dog -- he had been declawed -- but that he was viewed as "worthless" and abused because whoever clipped his ears messed them up. Sebastian still cringes if you raise your voice to him, and he usually will not hold his head up nor make eye contact when facing a human. He also tends to be a bit dumb, but whether this was genetic or as a result of his puppy time, we have no idea. He lives to be petted, eat, be petted, chase cats, and be petted. (Do we see a pattern here?) He does not tolerate grown cats at all, except for Samantha. This is probably because she's been here since she was a kitten; my sister brought her kitten by once and he seemed to like it too. We just have one problem with him and small creatures: he doesn't watch where he steps.
Name: Sugar
Nicknames: Boo, Furry Rodent, Houdini
Breed: She's just a plain hamster.
Age: 8 months
What about her?Sugar is a light brown and white hamster that my sister gave me for Christmas. She's the fourth hamster I've had, and the most acrobatic. Her name is sugar because her fur reminds me of brown and white sugar swirled together. Sugar loves hamster waffles, and she's quite the escape artist. Her favorite pastime is re-arranging the fluff in her habitat or running around in her hamster ball.
